OSHA 10-Hour Training for Roadway Construction

This unique program—which focuses directly on the hazards faced by those involved in roadway construction—provides practical approaches to recognizing and controlling common roadway construction hazards, accompanied with “hands-on” activities to reinforce the formal instruction.

The course covers 11 key construction work zone-related safety and health topics. Upon completion of this course, participants will recognize and be able to take corrective action to address the following issues and hazards:

  • Understanding OSHA
  • Roadway Work Zones (Temporary Traffic Control)
  • Personal Protective Equipment and High Visibility Clothing
  • Collisions between workers and vehicle operators
  • Night Work
  • Mechanized Equipment
  • Electrical Safety
  • Excavations and Trenching
  • Confined Spaces
  • Fall Prevention and Protection
  • Occupational Health and Environmental Controls
