Abstract: Starting July 1, 2008, drivers caught speeding in an Iowa construction zone will pay more than double the current fine. Signs that say "Work Zone: $1,000 Max Fine for Speeding. Other Fines Double" will be placed at 84 spots on Iowa's interstates and expressways and 159 locations on primary two-lane highways.
