Abstract: Some area drivers believe road crews could do more to warn motorists of work ahead. That's a response several had to last week's column, in which highway officials said they didn't think there was much more they could do to prevent crashes involving work crews. Highway officials said they already followed federal guidelines when they set up their work zones. Drivers, officials said, are the ones at fault because they are going too fast, not merging when they should and just not paying attention to what is happening on the road. Several readers disagreed.
