Title: Local, Innovative Lifesaving Roadway Safety Programs Nationally Honored: Recipients from 12 States Awarded for Efforts to Reduce Crashes
Abstract: Both the Roadway Safety Foundation (RSF) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recognized fifteen roadway safety programs from twelve states across the United States, each of which was honored for excellence and innovation in the areas of operations, planning, and roadway design. In addition to specific programs that received recognition, the significance of such programs, evaluation criteria used to rank programs, and program categories included in the rankings are also discussed.
