Campaign Name: North American Occupational Safety and Health Week
Description: As part of North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE) focused on transportation safety. The kick-off event was held at the Department of Labor/OSHA Monday, May 7 and on Capitol Hill. Activities were held around the country throughout the week (May 6-12. 2007).
Themes: Prevention is the cure. Remembering the more than 5,000 people who die each year from on-the-job injuries and the millions more who suffered on-the-job injuries and illnesses. And also recognizing the role of the occupational safety, health and environmental professional in making sure that the millions of people who go to work each day return home safely to their families and friends.
